Savory seaweed bites layered with sesame, tamari, and chili for a crisp, flavorful snack.
# What You Need:
→ Seaweed
01 - 8 large sheets roasted nori
→ Seasoning
02 - 2 tablespoons sesame oil
03 - 1 tablespoon tamari or gluten-free soy sauce
04 - 1 teaspoon maple syrup
05 - ½ teaspoon sea salt
06 - ¼ teaspoon chili flakes, optional
07 - 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
→ Optional Garnishes
08 - 1 tablespoon crushed wasabi peas
09 - 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion
# How to Make It:
01 - Preheat the oven to 285°F (140°C) and line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Whisk together sesame oil, tamari, maple syrup, sea salt, and chili flakes in a small bowl.
03 - Place a nori sheet shiny side down on the parchment and brush lightly with the seasoning mixture. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Repeat layering additional nori sheets, brushing each with seasoning and finishing with a seasoned top layer.
04 - Using a sharp knife or kitchen scissors, cut the stacked nori sheets into bite-sized strips or squares.
05 - Spread the pieces evenly on the prepared baking tray. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, monitoring closely to prevent burning.
06 - Remove from oven and allow to cool completely; the pieces will crisp as they cool. Garnish with crushed wasabi peas and chopped green onion if desired before serving.
